Cabinets and storage

We will pick up our FR3 in two weeks. We have enjoyed our Sunseeker for 3 years and decided the extra slide in the BR and bigger slide in the LR would enhance our 5 months on the road. However, I am concerned about the limited cupboards in the kitchen and living area. Does anyone have some storage hints to share? Thanks! Sue

I made 3 shelves for the big cabinet by the door and also put another shelf in the kitchen cabinet by the microwave and one in the cabinet under the sink. Really helped.

Thank you! Great ideas. If you have any other tips to share we would welcome them! We admit to being excited about taking delivery of a new vehicle and not being home in FL until the end of October. Sue

Great idea to use the cabinet space by the door never thought of that. I cut out finger holes in the plywood under the dinette seats and find it much easier to access thats about as craft as i have been. We have put about 5 trips and 1500 miles on ours and really ate loving it.

Great ideas about the various shelves. Iím intending on two cabinet/shelf modifications. First, instead of using up valuable cabinet space with our seasonings, Iím building a two-tier spice rack that fits above the outside door. At 3Ē deep, I donít think people will hit their heads on it. Second, I want to mount a TV in the bedroom in front of the top ďcubby holeĒ between the two wardrobe cabinets, but I want a mount that swings up (like the TV above the sink) or to the side, so I retain that as usable space. Iím having trouble finding a TV mount/bracket that works, so please let me know if you know of one!

I bought plastic storage containers to put in my kitchen cupboards. They are about the same size as the cabinet space. My cupboards are deep, dark and in some cases low. I just pull out the container, dig out what I need and slide it all back in...

We are using the space under the dinette seating to add two drawers that are about 28" deep and will have slots built into them so we can add / move dividers. They are on order now & will take pictures when finished.

Great! Where did you order the drawers from?

FR3 Cabinets

There's a cabinet maker in Tulsa that we have used for many other projects. The company is "Architectural Interiors" and our salesman is Jimmy, he's a good guy to do business with.

BTW, we decided not to have drawer pulls because we didn't want the grandkids standing on them so we had Jimmy route out finger pulls, like the way you pull the cabinets down from over the sofa.

I'll post pictures once we get them installed.

Has Anybody Modified the cubby hole space behind the TV in the bed room ?
I am open to any advice on modifying this space. I don't see why Forest River didn't
make this space usable from the get go.
