First campsite is at San Mateo Campground which is the inland campground of San Onofre State Beach. They so have mountain lions! The next campsite is at Oneill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon, they also have mountain lions. The first two beach pics are at Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach. The next set of beach pics are at Dockweiller State Beach in Playa Del Rey. The last campsite pics and view are at Caspers Wilderness Regional Park in San Juan Capistrano where I'm at right now and there are mountain lions here also. The ranger at the gate warned me to be very careful hiking in the hills because they have been spotted in the park recently.

I have family in Mission Viejo & vicinity and will have to check out those spots.

Thanks again, Larry.

Larry,

Btw, Does Caspers have decent Verizon or ATT coverage? Seems like you are posting from there so that would be a plus. Also is there just electric at the site or water, too? OC Parks site just mentioned electric.

Thanks!

Jay

Hey Jay
Super close to your family. I only live 30 minutes away from here on the. Coast. The 13 sites in Ortega Flats Campground where I am staying, have electricity 30/50 amp at each of the 13 sites. They they have added a water spigot and drinking fountain at each site.Click image for larger version

ID:	85056But because of our drought, The water can be shut off at any time. I filled the freshwater tank at my last camp site before I came here just in case, now I'm running it down to a third of a tank where are I usually maintain it. There are 42 sites in the Live Oak campground here in Casper's that have no hook-ups. Also in Live Oak they do have flush toilets and showers but they have shut off the water to the showers due to the drought. There is a sanitary dump at the exit.

Awesome info and pics Larry! Really appreciate it. The Verizon will help the mobile office.

Just booked in Ortega Flats for the week of Thanksgiving, as we go to MV every year.

Looking forward to the trip. Maybe we'll see you there?!

Thanks again,

Jay
