Captain's Chair: what a pain in the neck!

I know many of talk about the position issue with the drivers seat. Even with FR step by step instructions. ..I still can position to be a part of the living room.

However...my biggest beef is the lack of neck support. After a few hours on the road...I can't even turn my neck left anymore. Why o why would there not be neck rests. More importantly, adjustable neck supports? I looked for after market but only thing I could find was a airline pillow.

Anyone get the urge to swap out the seat? Getting itchy.

I feel the urge. I saw something like this Leather Truck Seat with Adjustable Headrest Prime Seating 400LH Seat | eBay at Whited Ford in Bangor. I did not snag one because I do not want to give up the swivel feature. Still looking...

I agree...well then again. Mine hardly swivels anyways. Would need to look at motorhome seats as opposed to truck seats.

Seat Position Change?

Does anyone know if the driver's seat in a 2015 FR 3 30DS can be adjusted up or down? I just finished my "trip with training wheels" and finished up with a back ache and nerve pain. The seat is super comfortable but it would be nice to lower the seat a bit so that the cushioning didn't put pressure on the back of my legs.

Sorry they don't. I ordered the lower bases for me and the wife, much better on the back of my legs.

Possible Mod

One thing I thought about doing is slipping longer pieces of PVC pipe over the adjuster and swivel handle. For me, I have to reach under with my right hand and push the handle to the LEFT move the seat forward or backwards as I cannot reach that handle with my left hand. Similar situation with the swivel handle.

Suggestions?

I added one inch copper pipe as extensions to increase the length and leverage in the handles.

We use a neck pillow and a small pillow behind the lower back for lumbar support.
