I just purchased new FR3 about 3 months. And my generator killed on me and will not start.
The generator is not getting fuel to the carburetor.
I disconnected the fuel line that goes back to the motorhomes fuel tank and there no gas flowing out. I also disconnect the line going to the carburetor and pressed the start switch nothing there.
The fuel gauge on the motorhome is reading half tank.
Queston ? Is the generator fuel gravity fed?
Thanks
GM
The generator has a 12 volt fuel pump located under the generator

No, it is not gravity fed. The pump is inline, usually under the generator. If it shares a tank with the rv, make sure you have more than 1/4 tank and it is close to level.

If the generator is turning over and there is no fuel getting to the carb. you either have a clogged fuel filter or a bad fuel pump. I know of quite a few fuel pumps going bad on these generators.
Good luck...
Stupid question. Have you primed the fuel line prior to starting? The indoor panel rocker switch operates in both directions. Down and hold to prime and up to start.
I find holding the rocker down for 30 seconds or longer produces the best results.
Also check to make sure you have driven your RV around a bit. We just used our generator for 7 days straight due to no power from Harvey, I kept checking the fuel gouge and it read no lower than 3/4 tank, thought these Onan's run forever on very little gas, then it shutdown and would not start again. So I drove the RV about 6 miles to nearest gas station, by the time I pulled into a pump my fuel gauge was on empty. May just be a false reading on the gas gauge.
Thanks to everyone helping me trouble shoot the issue with the generator. I started looking around today and found a 7.5 amp blown fuse that's for the fuel pump. Replaced it and it started up. Tested several times with no problem .
If I recall My old onan didn't have one.

Thanks for the update GM. I was not aware of a fuse. Guess I should have a look see if ours has one. [emoji16]
