Dash outlets

Neither of the 12V outlets on the dash of my 2104 FR3 work.

Any ideas what to check first?

Thanks
.

I believe I've read here on the forum that there are in-line fuses behind each of them under the dash.

Dash outlets

The fuse is in a ford factory fuse panel behind the grill on the radiator support, in the front of the engine bay, up high, near the center. It is a large orange (20a) plastic fuse, not an inline fuse (at least that is what protected those outlets on my 2015 FR3)

On our 2016 fr3 30ds there are 2 in line fuse holders for the power outlets behind the dash panel.

My 2015 doesn't seem to have inline fuses. In any event, since the 20a panel fuse is central, I would check it first, takes maybe a minute to look at, without having to unscrew the panel in the coach.

Our 2017 FR3 ds29 has in line fuse holder which can be accessed under the dash or by removing the black dash panel which is easier. My Weimaraners like to “navigate” for me and when they lean on the dash the plugs, which stick out about 4 inches, are let’s say, moved around and short out. I’m looking for a flush, right angle plug to prevent that. I also keep a box of fuses on hand.

The op indicated that both of his outlets have no power. I guess it is possible for two separate fuses to open coincidentally. Still thinking the one central fuse in the panel outside is where the problem lies.

We had a hot wire in contact with the lighters side. Shorted out every time we tried to change the fuse. Dealer took care of it
