Are the house batteries dead or the coach battery?

have you popped the caps off the battery and checked the water level? If it is not to the top of the split ring, about 1/2 inch from the top, then put distilled water in the battery... only distilled...
do you leave it connected to shore power or have you left it conected to shore power for long periods of time? Often that will boil off water from the house battery... or if the water is low in the starter battery then check the water there also... you may have a charging problem...
chances are the battery is bad and needs to be replaced if this has been happening for awhile...

If you are leaving your rv unattended for a week your battery will definitely be dead after several days from parasitic loads. There needs to be some way to charge your battery either plugged into main 120vac or solar.

Parasitic draw from a good battery/s should not kill it in a week. There's something else going on here.

I had the same problem with my 2015 Salem CruiseLite. Now when I leave it after a trip, I disconnect the negative lead as was suggested in another post.

Even if your batteries are good, the multitude of parasitic leaks will kill your battery(s). Once you have the battery problem resolved, install a master disconnect switch in the system to isolate your batteries. Last winter, I didn't even take my batteries out ( we live in a warm climate in the Vancouver area) and the batteries were still at 50% charge this spring and are in thier fourth season.
Good Luck

colourful, based on your fridge issues and your battery issues, it sounds like your dealer failed in giving you a good PDI or walkthrough.
ESPECIALLY with you going dry camping.
they should have told you that the RV requires being plugged in while parked, since the parasitic power drains will empty a battery in days.
they should have gone over how to operate the fridge when not connected to shore power.

Hello All, talk about timing, I read this post, I had started RV in a week, forgot to hit disconnect switch, sure enough, dead coach battery, steps didn't even work, got my little step stool, climbed in, started engine, all good, ran engine for about 30 min, will check tomorrow, made a 'dummy' sign to not forget disconnect switch when parked

Big duke- be sure to check your dash lights dimmer switch. When turned all the way up it clicks but nothing happens. If left in that position, your battery will be dead in two days. Make sure it is not in the clicked position.

I know this is an old string, but I was having the same issue. Battery checked out fine after $130 check at the Ford dealer. They kindly offered to install a disconnect for $280. I found a solar panel trickle charger made by Coleman that can be connected to the battery or plugged into either 12v outlet on the dash (both stay hot when rig is off) at Fry's Electronics for $35, problem solved. I plug it in, leave it on the dash, done.

Keeping the distilled water level correct I have found to be of most importance for maintaining a good long life battery.
If the water level is showing the plates -- tops of plates out of water -- chances are that much of the battery life has already been lost.
Should be checked before each trip and always before and after charging.
We disconnect our trailer batteries when not in use.

I would check your roller index for your lighting behind your instrument panel. this can be found when sitting in the drivers seat on the left hand side. Most people don't know this but if the roller index is spun to where you hear a clicking sound, then you have just opened up a relay for the chassis battery, over time this relay will drain your coach battery.
