Delivery PDI

tWe are taking delivery of our FR3 on Thursday morning. I've got some experience, 3 TTs and 1 MH, but this is my first new rig. I scanned these forums and can't find much info except for a thread on TT and 5W PDIs.
I've come up with a pretty good, 3 page list. With all the experience on this forum I'm sure there are some don't miss items that I don't know about. I live an hour from the dealer and would really like to limit my visits. I'm bringing a camera and an audio recorder. The sales department has been pretty straight with me, so far, and the dealership has a pretty good rep in the Northwest.
Any advice, even opinions would be greatly appreciated.

On the website (not sure if you're using the app), there is a green bar at the top of the page. In there, it says Library. In the library is all sorts of goodies.

In fact, one of them is a many-paged PDI checklist:

PDI Items

Hey Mandoholic. Congrats on the FR3!

The PDI checklist mentioned is a good source. A few items I found were a little more difficult to spot. 1. Small holes (half the size of a dime) in bathroom wall caused (I assume) when workers hauled in the sink base. The material wasn't completely severed, so the holes were tough to see, but the wall was punctured. Mine were only inches off the floor and eventually the wall material would have fallen away making the holes obvious. 2. Outside hinges were slightly bent on one of the storage doors. Not that big of a deal, but I'm sure the wear and tear would have caused the hinges to fail sooner than the rest. 3. Shower surround was pulling away from the wall. Still haven't gotten this fixed completely.

Good luck with your coach. After having these items fixed (as well as several more) and about 1/2 dozen after market items added, we are just finally taking our first overnight trip tomorrow, even though we took delivery over a month ago.

I agree with both of these guys! I suggest having one or two people doing nothing but looking at it cosmetically if you can while you are doing the walk through. My wife and I went with my Brother and Sister in law and did the looking for them as we did with my parents camper. My parents did the cosmetic searching for us while we walked through ours... Of course we all missed some things but it happens. One thing I have learned, if at all possible, ask to wash it on their lot! You will ALWAYS find things that aren't right while washing. This is how I found my couple of flaws, but unfortunately it was being washed in my driveway!

couple of examples I have of cosmetic issues are the pics below! The first one is the top lip inside my slide and the other one is the edging around the outside of the slide, you can see the center beauty cap doesn't cover the whole thing, this is on every corner too!
