Unhappy Dish Tailgater

I just took delivery on a 2015 FR3 30DS. I have a Dish Tailgater system and attempted to hook it up. The only outside cable connection I have is labeled park cable in the left rear storage compartment. The system will not work when hooked up there. It does work if I hook up the cable directly from the dish to the receiver. Am I not seeing a satellite hook somewhere or do these motorhomes not come with a separate satellite hook-up. If so has anyone installed one on there own? Thanks in advance for any responses.

You have the same problem I have with the Coachmen Pursuit. They have no satellite prep package. I am hoping to run the line from my electrical compartment to the rear tv then HDMI cable out to the front TV.

It should work for you. What did you hook to the sat receiver antenna "IN" port when antenna was connected outside to park cable input? If you connected the "IN" port to a cable that is after a splitter it may not work. The "IN" port must be connected directly to the park cable input for your tv's which would be before any splitters and/or selector box. The only thing that would be different using the existing coax cable installation is you will not have HDTV but SDTV should work. For HDTV the HDMI ports on your sat receiver must be used and you probably don't have prerun HDMI cables in your unit. I utilize my park cable input for my tailgater antenna.

Dish Tailgater update

I got the system to work using the park cable connection. As Bubbles advised me, the system will not work through a series of splitters. I removed the antenna booster from where it was mounted and then removed the "park cable" coax from the booster. I attached a length of coax to the cable and ran that to the satellite box. I was able to use the holes already there for the cable run to behind the tv. It worked fine. I have to order a converter to change my infra red remote to operate off a uhf signal and I can then place the satellite receiver in the cabinet behind the tv and everything will be neat and out of sight. Thanks to everyone for your replies.
