Dometic 310 high profile fit FR# 30DS

Has anyone retrofitted a Dometic 310 into the 30 DS? Any problems I need to anticipate?

I retrofitted with a Dometic 320 elongated. 28DS has same bathroom as 30DS. My wife loves it.

Bolt pattern is the same and for he hose is the same for the Dometic 300, 310, 320. The only major difference between the 320 elongated is touching the wall where as the 300 was an inch from the wall.


I did not install it but I watched the RV repairman do it. My rig was still new and he did it for free in exchange for the Dometic 300.

Last Fall I installed a Domestic 320 in our 2016 FR3 30DS and it is tight to the wall but fits fine. I ordered the new toilet on Amazon and took me 1/2 hour to install. What a great improvement over the original plastic toilet !

What Seat came standard with the 320 Plastic or Wood? Youroo!!

Our Domestic 320 came with a very nice wood toilet seat like you would use in a home.

The 320 is different... It requires an additional inch of clearance, 11 inches, between the wall and the center of the flange. See the attached install guide. It fits fine in our 2019 Sunseeker but the back of it is almost touching the wall.

We installed the Domestic 320 in our 2016 30DS and it fit just perfect. There is about 1/2" clearance between the wall and the back of the toilet. The install was very easy and only took about 20 min.

I have a 2018 Roo 233S. It came with Dometic 300 toilet. Which we would love to upgrade to a 310 or 320. Preferably a 320. From my calculations I don’t think it fits. I think a 310 will just barely fit. Does anyone have any experience in a 233S upgrading to a 310 or 320?

I’ll answer my own question in case it helps somebody else in the future. I decided that the 320 does not fit in a 233s, but the 310 would come very close so I ordered it from Amazon. Well, it almost fits. You can install it no problem. If you raise the first lid no problem it will stay up, although it is not fully up it is about 95% straight up. So for women it is 99% perfect. But, the second lid, the one that the guys would need to raise when using the toilet standing, will not stay up when you let it go, it automatically soft closes because both lids are slightly hitting the cabinet behind and to the left. But, if you open the cabinet door before raising the lids, they will both stay up! I decided that having a fantastic toilet with the porcelain bowl and a strong enamel seat that slow closes, both lids, is more important than having a perfect installation. So I kept it installed. I’m the only male in our family, so when I stand up and use it I have to open the cabinet door to raise the second lid, but when anyone is sitting and using it it works just fine without opening the cabinet door. So a 310 toilet will work in 233s Roo if you are OK with this work around, but a 320 will not work at all. FYI
