Electric brake controller plug

I have a 2016 FR3 30ds. I would like to know if it has a plug for a electric brake controller and if so where it is. I have a trailer I want to tow for my motorcycles. I haven't looked yet thought someone could give me a clue where to look .

If your trailer has electric brakes it should be activated when you plug it into the 7-way outlet. If your trailer only has 4 or 6 way plug, you'll need to get an adapter and have it wired correctly.

Trailer brake controller

The chassi is pre wired for a brake controller. There is a trailer brake wire harness over by the right side of the steering colum. There is no connector on the wires you will have to put your own connector on them when you hook up your controller.
Good luck.

From my memory, the plug was tucked up high near the steering wheel.

This was the controller we ended up using.

And look for the grey connector.

My 2015 FR3 30DS came with the brake controller mate plug and a pig tail plugged into the brake controller connector. As said by others, under the dash near the steering column. I don't tow any trailer requiring a brake controller so I used the connector for my power mirrors (enough amps for the heaters) and to connect the brake on signal to my toad's high stop (i.e., the signal at the 7-pin connector normally used for brakes modulated by the controller is on full time while the brakes are applied just by jumping the two connections on the brake controller connector).
