Entry Door Window Issues

Hey all,

Today I noticed that the window looked rolled down about an inch. I know that this window is stationary and does not open. Upon closer inspection, the frame looked warped almost melted and cracked. Anyone else have this issue or know what caused it?

Well there's something you don't see every day.

If that were me, I'd start unscrewing the window frame and reseating the window.

Does that door sit in the sun a lot?

You need a new window frame.

I replaced my window with Slim Shade rv door window with built-in shade. It came with tinted window and new frame.

Do a search on this forum for "slim shade."

That exact thing happen to the entry door window on our 8315SS. Removed the frame and the plastic tabs on the inside bottom of the frame that holds the glass in place broke off. Replaced the frame from Amazon and reset into door. All is good now.

Be sure to check dimensions for your application.

Good luck

Last Friday my husband and I installed our new slim shade. Next to our Weathertech floor mats, it’s the best investment on our RV. Took us 20” to install. We are over the moon. Not only does it have a nice shade, we can finally see out our window. There’s a funny YouTube video of a young couple installing them on their RV.

Installed one of these this summer. Really like being able to see out in the daytime, and the shade cuts out all light at night so it’s nice and dark in the fifth wheel. Great product. Easy installation!
