Extend a stay

That's the brass fitting a person can install just off the propane tank to hook up a extra line for say like a grill. Mine gave me problems and leaked out 70% of my tank before l noticed. A black rubber o-ring on the device went south. Where can l get a new o ring? For now I've disconnected the gadget and its laying in the dirt... Just kidding, but I'm pissed l lost all my propane..

There it is! That little o ring there that l used the power of my trusty iPhone to zoom in on eh. That little sucker cost me a tank of propane. How much will it cost to get my tank refilled?

Any auto parts should have an O-ring that will fit.

Just Google propane cost for the area your in. You said you lost 70% of your tank, convert that to gallons and do the simple math to find your refill cost.

Propane weighs about 4.2 lbs per gallon

I keep a box of spare o-rings in my camper for just that reason. The o-ring is cheap. Auto parts stores are a good source, buy a couple of spares. Last time I topped up the LP tank it was ~$3.00 a gallon, or ~72¢ a pound.

Right on guys, thanks for the info. I was thinking that o ring would fave to be a special kind that is fuel proof or something. But looking at the bad o ring, there's no sign of material breakdown, only that it's been damaged or torn.
