Extend-a-stay

Installed a extend a stay on Jenny when l got home from work this after noon. Super easy, took about a 1/2 hour. And it only took a 1/2 hr cuz I sat there on my upside down 5gal bucket admiring my work. LoL, no really l did. Also on Jenny, passengers side, the compartment that holds the water pump, some blue and red lines, there was a black plastic panel behind the compartment door with a big round screw in plug. I removed the panel and slid it under the hot water heater. I couldn't see the need for that panel to be there, except to hide all the crap that is behind it. Water lines, pump, hot water heater, winter kit. Anyone else do that also? FYI Jenny is the 30DS

First thing I did was remove that panel so I could see the real water level in the water tank. I also installed a valve underneath to drain water easier

Mine is a 2015 25DS, they are basically the same yours is just longer but mechanically the same. The drain is the white cap on the tube that goes through the floor, to the right of your water tank and pump. The clear, bigger tube is your over flow. I installed a 1/2" valve with a hose adaptor for easy draining.

Is that the door labeled "low water drain"? I wanted to do that too. I took the panel off twice when the water pump was siphoning water out of water tank. I needed to see all the lines. But figured somebody smarter than I am put it on, so I put it back on. It's a pain. And that big round plate in the middle looks fine but really can't see anything or get your hand in there when you open it. So have to take the whole panel off. There must be a reason for it.

Mine not labeled anything. The compartment I'm talking about is where the water pump is.

I think the only reason for that panel was to hide the messy design of that compartment. My dealer told me to remove that panel. I didn't throw it away, I slid it under the water heater, it fit nice. Then l just put the mounting screws back in there locations and tighten em back down so they don't get lost.
