We use the fold out couch every trip, is there a way to make that more comfortable so the metal bar doesn't break your back when you get on or off or sleep?
We can buy a new one and try to sell the old one, but other than that anyone solved this? Or do you know a good replacement that fits in that space? We need this as a second sleeping area. My mother in-law can't get in the bunk and the table area is also out since it's not long enough for an adult.
Have you tried a memory foam topper? We don't use the fold out in our coach, but at home we use a 4" memory foam topper on a hide-a-bed and it makes it much more comfortable. Bought ours at Sam's club a few years back for about $200 (I think).

Cut to length and then slit it down the side to fit over the bar.
You may need to remove them to fold it up but is easy, cheap and should work.

Most furniture stores routinely sell a mattress upgrade for their sleeper sofas for $140 to $160. That way it bends in all the right places. Adding a topper or a foam mattress pad usually means it won't fold up correctly. The upgrade is less expensive than swapping out recliner couch, which we really like. Camping world might have one too.
