Has anyone ever put a spare tire underneath the chassis? I donít feel comfortable not having a spare tire. Can not put on rear bumper as bedroom slides out the rear.

I'm with you on this! Our DS30 doesn't have a spare either. I'd like to mount a spare underneath our rig if it's possible. Hopefully others who are more knowledgeable than I will respond.

Ive carried one on longer trips out west on a metal support attached to the trailer hitch. Worked well just welded it up from some spare steel bar had laying around. Tire only..plenty of shops can put it on the rim for ya, but tires are not always available in a timely manner.

You will have to crawl underneath and take measurements. I cant on the 25DS as there is no empty space big enough. You really need it to be held no lower than the rest of the tanks. I recall somebody doing this but it may be on the longer coaches 30/32DS. Really is just a question of open space above the body. If you stuff one under be sure it no lower than the body of the coach.

Let us know if you solve it.

I measured to space underneath my FR3 28DS. A tire on a rim will not fit. A tire without a rim may.

I measure the height of the rear tires. The tire height was more than the distance between the rear frame members.

This might sound radical, but what about putting a hitch on the front of your RV, and mount the tire there? you could also buy a swing mount so if you need to work on the RV you can swing the tire our an not have to take it off? Just thinking outside the box

You know you have two spare tires on your coach already ! You can take a rear tire off and put it on the front and drive it to a tire shop to get it fixed. Do you have tools to change it on the road if you have to ?
