FR3 30DS changed to King size bed?

It looks like the FR3 30DS just changed to a King Bed. Last week when I looked at the Forest River web site it showed the 30DS with a Queen bed and the 25DS with a King Bed.

Now they both show King Beds:

FR3 Class A Motorhome Floorplans by Forest River

and the 30DS length is still 31'4".

Anybody seen one yet?

Ed

They have to lose a foot somewhere, or make it longer.

Yes, I saw that too. Would have been ice to have that 2 months ago when we bought ours. But I do agree, where is the difference?

Went out an looked at our bed this afternoon. The only thing I can think is they just added a foot to the mattress. It's going to make it pretty tight in there.

Ours must have been one of the first ones. We have the dog window and no cup holders.

Another change/upgrade is that all the units have a accordion type shower door instead of a shower curtain!

Also, there is in carpet in the bedroom, around the front seats and couch and table. The front between the two seats is now in leather (vinyl)

Actually as of January they are using the luxury vinyl plank tile through the unit. Makes it easy to keep clean

I talked to a Forest River FR3 Factory Rep at a RV show this weekend. He said the FR3 30DS will have a King Size bed in it.

The rep asked me where I heard about the King Size bed in the 30DS and I told him it appeared on the Forest River web site in January.

He said they made the coach 8" longer to fit it, and the 30DS with King Size Bed will be labeled as the 2015 Model.

I hope my wife never finds out. I wanted the 25 and she wanted the 30 but the king size bed was the deal breaker. We got the 25 and I am sure we will be very happy with it.

Wow, lot's of changes for the better in the 2015 30DS. I had really wanted a king size bed. Kind of wish we'd waited another half year, but too late now. Good to see they fixed the shower door, too. The bedroom tv they added months ago would have been nice when we ordered ours instead having to add one aftermarket. I guess the bottom line is that Forest River is listening to their customers and making improvements on the fly. Good for them.

At the RV show in NJ this past weekend I saw the 2014 30DS with the same queen sized bed, but the new shower and mirrors on the closet doors in the bedroom. I didn't notice if the lights were LED or not. I'm looking to switch mine over to LED but need to wait for it to come back from service.

I pick up my 25 on Saturday. With the LED strip under the awning, rubber diamond plate drivers floor but the old shower and no drawers under dinette and no LED lights inside.
I asked the dealer to price out the new shower door unit, it seems a better upgrade than installing the plastic triangles in the corners. Certainly should be some good deals on the 2014 models that are outdated already.

Will do, I think it will be a popular upgrade. Similar units for general use are less than $100. Those do not have the curved bar and bottom track. Any guesses what it will be in RV dollars?

Dang!! Out of all of the changes in the last six-seven moths I rally would like drawers in the dinette!! Bummed... The rest we can still do ourselves, but this one will be more tricky for us.
