FR3 30DS Front Shade Issue

On the road and stopped for a quick lunch. Lowered the shade because of the heat. When we were ready to leave again, the shade would not rise. We hear a single click when the Shade button is pressed but nothing happens. Cannot find anything in FR documents. Read about a little reset button on this forum on the "left side" near the windshield but can't find it. Ugh!!! Any additional instructions or help in fixing this problem would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

I was just working on adding front speakers to ours and happen to dislodge the connector on the backside of the switch. See if yours for some reason is no longer connected to the switch. Just a guess, but hope it helps.

I had a similar issue with our 2014 30DS, turned out to be the shade motor. Our dealer eventually replaced the motor but we had to manually roll the shade up and down throughout a trip we took earlier this year from Vancouver BC to Palm Springs and back. Wifey sewed Velcro strips onto a strip of similar coloured material to hold the shade rolled up while driving.
The fact you hear a click when pressing the button may not turn out to be a faulty motor, I don't recall hearing the same clicking noise. There is an adjustment button used to reset the set points where the motor stops, such as the point where the shade stops coming down while the ignition is on. On ours, the adjustment button is located at the drivers side of the shade roll mechanism. You may need to remove the vertical inside corner cover where the windshield meets the side wall to gain access to it. There are instructions from the manufacturer on their website to reset the control points. Unfortunately I don't recall who the manufacturer is, but a call to Forest River might help.
Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the advice! Checked and, unfortunately, it is not the connector.

Thanks for the advice! Now we are just manually moving the shade. My husband is going to look for the adjustment button by removing the corner cover. Thanks for the hint! We love our FR3 (until something goes wrong)! Lol! Thanks, again!
