Vent wiring
I have installed Fantastic fans in all three vents, all were pre-wired. None of the pre-wiring was switched.

That's the pisser part! FR didn't get smart until later 2015 models to figure out...DOH! we should put pre wire in the vents in case our customers want to add fans. LOL!!!

drivmsafe......
Did you check out all the way around the opening on all sides. I have a 2010 Georgetown, and found wiring a bit back in from the opening. A quick glance and I would have missed finding it.
As far as being on a switch already....no problem. I put my own switches in. I didn't want the fan to only come on if "X" was turned on.

Vent wiring
Both my wife and I can easily reach the switch on the Fantastic fan so a switch seemed unnecessary. The power to the fans in all vents is not tied to the bathroom light switch.

I have a 2013 Coachman Mirada and all vents had wire easy to reach once you take the plastic shroud from the old vent off. And the FR3 has no fan in the bathroom? I thought all RV's had vent fans in the toilet area. BTW...I added a remote control Maxx fan in the living room vent 'cause my wife is too short to reach the buttons.

MaxxFan install
Well it took about 4 1/2 hours to get this far . Most of time on removing old seal stuff, finish trim inside later. Yes roof needs cleaning bad but severe drought cant use water now.

I found a tape product, stickiest product I have ever seen!! 2.5 inch wide, covers the entire flange of Fantastic fan, including screw heads. Suggest you thoroughly clean a 2" strip all around the new vent, then apply the tape. I'll check my purchases and see if I can recall the name of product!!

It is called Eternabond, expensive but well worth it. You need 5' if tape to cover the four sides of the Fantastic fan!

Vent wiring
Looks absolutely super! I used Dicor the first vent, but I tend to be a bit impatient so liked the tape on vents two and three. Because the tape is continuous, no chance of an air bubble. I am sure yours will work out great! Bet it's nice to have that job behind you!!

My 2015 30DS has no wiring that l could see for a fan in the bathroom roof vent. Or was l looking in the wrong location? I removed the inside trim around the factory hand crank roof vent and didn't see any wires.

Bathroom Fan wiring
Look carefully behind the aluminum flashing. It can be sharp, so do so carefully!

We have a 2015 30DS and the wiring is there. I found mine on the aft side of the cutout. I had to pull out all the wires and then I found the fan wires fold up within the wire loom.

Good deal guys, I'll re-visit and see if l can find them. Will the bathroom light switch also power those wires?

Not in my 2014 FR3, but the Fantastic Fan rotary switch is easy for me and my 5'5" wife to reach. Remember the fan in the bathroom only needs to be one-way, exhaust!

No, those wires will be hot all the time and not tied to the bathroom switch. Which is fine, since our fan has an built in on/off switch.
