Received mine from fr the other day. Took less then 30 min to remove and install. Selling old ones on Craig's list sounds good. So drivemsafe how did you list them, and what did you get for them? Thanks.

FR3 headlight replacement.

I listed them as headlight assemblies that'll fit 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado. Also added a couple of pics. I listed them for $200 for the pair. They sold for $150. Wasn't trying to make much but, it was better than nothing. 😄
BYW, my FR3 is a 2014. I know they changed the headlight assemblies in 2016

Received my replacement headlights and want to install this weekend.

Question: Those 4 wires that need to be cut and taped off....do I tape them off individually or together, like to complete a circuit if that makes sense. Apologies for the simple question, don't know much about wiring. Thank you.

Do not tape together. You will blow fuses.

What 4 wires are you cutting? The headlights you received should be direct plug in replacement. The only wire I taped off was to the LED's, which you won't have on the replacements.

2016 models come with a new front cap and head lights. Not saying they're any better, but most of the conversation in this thread pertains to the 2013-2015 models. I hope the 2016's are better though.

Thanks for the answer.

Looked at a 2016 FR3 yesterday. It did not seem to have a LED Halo ring in the headlight but then I am not sure what I was really looking for in this regard. It must have been an early 2016 because it had a 5 speed transmission in it.

Anyway the entry to the coach is too steep for my disabled dog (80lbs) to handle so an FR3 is not for us anyway. So sad.

Clarification

I saw a post indicating Model # for replacement light was GM436-B001R or L -RV
RV. I searched on line and could only find that number without "RV". Says Chevrolet assembly. Is this correct/ only approx $ 70.00 each.

Thank u/ Bear

Don't know how critical the RV suffix is, but that is what is on the boxes I received.

The headlights I purchased did not have the RV suffix; they are for a 2010 Silvarado and they do fit; also brighter. I wonder if the RV suffix allows for left and right adjustment? Mine do not.

Ditto what @dutiful don said. Our replacement ones from FR had the RV suffix. I happen to still have the RH box with PN GM436-B001R-RV though I wouldn't hesitate on buying a non-RV suffix replacement. I can see under this sticker I have is another sticker with GM436-B001R PN. So who knows, maybe their the same.

WE will see

I purchased Silverado lights on ebay last night for $145.00 including shipping. Indicates they fit 2007-2015. The lights appear to be the same in the picture. They are returnable. When in doubt do something ! I will try to do short video on the replacement/ Try being the issue !

UPdate

I canceled the Headlight purchased on Ebay. I emailed Forest River regarding my Headlight concern. Returned email within 1 hour. Verified Vin# and the need. They were able to supply the headlight assembly for similar pricing. All taken care of within 3 hours. Impressed. Very nice.

Likely my fault

I did not press them. Unit is three actual years old. I'm a newbie and figure I will need additional help.

If you're handy Bear, it'll take less time to do the replacement of the headlights than it did to work everything out. 😀 Hang on to your old ones. I sold mine on Craigslist.

Headlight replacement help

I'm attempting to replace headlight assembly on 2014. Have removed two bolt assemblies on side toward center of grill. There are two fasteners (plastic) on far side. I assumed that I just pushed the assembly in and it would come out but will not clear. Also the the new assembly from FR does not have same holes. Has one on top but no hole on bottom. Any help would be appreciated.
