FR3 Lippert Leveling Jack Motor

Hi,
I have a 2014 FR3. I have had continuous issues with the leveling jacks. The motor which is Lippert 167576 is held onto the hydraulic pump by 2 screws. It came off before, but I was able to attach without any damage. This time the top screw came off again and the end of the shaft was damaged. One of the notches sheared off. I contacted Lippert customer service, and they said I would need a new motor which is almost $800. Has anybody else had this problem and able to repair without buying and entire new motor?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!
-Aaron

Buy a few bottle Jack's and do it the manual way. Or, buy the motor.

Might be able to find a cheaper version though.

Can the two pieces be clamped together? Drilled to the next larger machine screw. Then tapped for new bolt. Or rotate the motor and drill for original size bolts.

Take the motor apart and see if you can get the broken piece welded, then use blue locktight on the screws.

Western motors service. Www.wms1.com. They may be able to fix it or cross reference it to a better motor. They are in Rockford Illinois.

Are you sure thats the right PN? I think its 179327. Does the aluminum head on the motor separate? Some of the motors I've see have thru bolts that might mount that flange on the motor, which then mounts to the hydraulics. If you can split it apart, you might be able to get some dimensions to help find a replacement motor.

Came across a bunch of motors here listed that might help if you can split off the adapter plate.

No I said it seemed close I only put the link because it is a similar motor and is only $95 to $110. I'll think it shows that the markup on the $770 pump is huge. Also that Western motor company also sells the motor parts which might mean the shaft could be replaced.

Sorry for the confusion, but that post wasn't referenced to you Stephan, should've mentioned that. It was @reportingguru's original comment to "Lippert 167576". I think its a good idea to give Western Motor a call to see what they got. You wouldn't see me spending $700 anytime soon on a 12v motor.
