FR3 Mileage
So...considering buying an FR3 as an upgrade from my 3100 Sunseeker. I am considering lots of variables. One is fuel efficiency...so, what type of gas mileage is typical? Thanks.

I think if you averaged 7-8 mpg you'd be doing good.

I've been getting 6-7 towing the racecar. Around 22k combined. With the car on a dolly 7-8 is more likely, both at 65.

The 300 mile trip from the dealer back home my 2015 30DS got 7.9 hwy MPG with the cruise control set on 65. That was across Indiana and central KY mostly flat terrain.

I'm getting 8.5 driving 55. I'm retired, I've got more time than money.

For our first tank on our trip from Phoenix to Colorado Springs we took it easy and got 9 mpg. But we were running late after the next fill and we don't know the mpgs yet, but it won't be that good.

Fuel economy depends on a lot of factors... Such as how heavy is your foot... Wind conditions... Are you towing something.., how loaded up are you?
These are just examples of questions that affect fuel economy..,.
Generally I am confident in giving an range of 8-10 mpg

It cost me $100.00 every time I stop at the gas station, no matter how I drive or what I am towing nothing ever changes.

Then you must not be filling all the way up or are stopping every 1/3~1/2 of a tank

Many credit cards have a $100 or $150 automatic stop. Simply swipe the card again.

I can't set in the seat more then 3 hours at a time so $100 in gas works out perfect and that is when the card stops.

I have a feeling that Bob knew about the gas station credit limit that stops it out at $100 bucks or so...

has anyone yet tried any of those add ons for gas mileage? My brother in law got one called a fuel maxxx -about the size of a small 9 volt battery- maybe a little bigger - a 2 wire thing, that hooked into the filter some where and he swore he got 2 miles better mpg and more power- this was on a 2002 winnabago with a ford v-10.. think he is imagining things. lol

Why would you. And how would it work? What laws of physics would it be violating?

The only thing I can think of that might work are air tabs. But as was posted elsewhere, if they did every semi in the country would have them. And they don't.

What does work is shedding weight and decreasing drag. Going slower reduces drag.

Wow was reading the hundreds of negative feed back for that fuel device. Seems from the rebuttals the guy has tons of competitors and no one else can install it right. Go figure.
