FR3 or ACE...
Having looked at both models at Hershey, I was wondering if anyone looked at both and what attributes affected their decision to buy, or not buy, an FR3.
We are going to order something at the turn of the year, leaning towards a Sunseeker 3010DS, but still are considering an FR3 or ACE.
Just looking for "Lessons Learned". Thanks.

The unfortunate thing about giving you an answer is that it's you that needs to be happy with your purchase. We looked at the ACE and a few other similar motorhomes before settling on the FR3. Again, it's a matter of preference. To us, the FR3 has more interior room due to the LR slide going out farther. There were other factors but this was a big point. Good hunting.

Check out the Coachmen Pursuits also. We started looking at the FR3, ACE and Storms but liked the Pursuits interior more.

I must agree here. We also are looking into moving into a MH from our 5er and the Precept IMO has much more to offer than the Ace and FR3.
We're close to a decision and are hung up between the Precept and the Winnebago 30T.

We did look at the Precept at Hershey, but didn't' like the floor plans. Build quality looked OK. I have been reading the problems FR3 owners have been having with ac, slides and were concerned with laying out $75K on one.

Unfortunately, no matter what mfg. forum you go on, you'll read about problems with whatever. Most like to blame the MH builder for problems with aftermarket items such as the ac, fridge, stove, etc.. Not every MH will have major problems. Sure, we've had problems with our FR3 30DS, but not anything to pull my hair out (I'm knocking on wood as I say this, lol).

Are there any forums where you can get the kind of information about other brands problems like this one? I have tried to find one from Thor to see what problems ACE owners are having. I've also tried to find a Forum where owners of Jayco Precept are posting their issues but I can't find anything. If anyone knows of any please let me know.
Another thing is how many other manufactures put on a week long Rally where they send around 100s of technicians to make free repairs to units that are quite a few years out of warranty?

Unfortunately I do not have info on jayco, but I extensively researched the ACE and FR3. After many months of comparing, last week we bought the FR3.
