FR3 passenger seat

The passenger front seat in our RV was difficult to spin around to use as a chair when we were camping.

I removed it from the floor and made a 3/16" plate to go under the seat base . It offset the whole seat by 1-1/4" (towards the drivers side). Now it is easy to spin around. I am not sure I know how to add a picture , but I will try.

I've found this annoying since we bought ours! The driver seat isn't too bad if you move move the seatback all the way forward and the same for the passenger, but it still sits very close to the wall preventing you from reclining while talking to people on the couch.

If you make a new plate, be sure that you weld the orig plate to the new plate. The weld is only on the right hand side.

Or I guess you could bolt them together on the right side with three 1/4-20 flat head socket cap hardened screws with the bottom plate countersunk so the screws are flush with the bottom of the new plate. Then use 1/4-20 full nuts and lock washer on top of the orig baseplate.

I had to grind a flat on the heads of the 2 carriage bolts where they butt up against the original baseplate.
