I removed it from the floor and made a 3/16" plate to go under the seat base . It offset the whole seat by 1-1/4" (towards the drivers side). Now it is easy to spin around. I am not sure I know how to add a picture , but I will try.

I've found this annoying since we bought ours! The driver seat isn't too bad if you move move the seatback all the way forward and the same for the passenger, but it still sits very close to the wall preventing you from reclining while talking to people on the couch.
Very nice fix!
