Below is my 10-31-2018 post of installing 6x9 speakers. Last time I drove my FR3, they sounded great.

First I measured to make sure 6x9s speakers would fit.

Before pictures with 5.25" OEM speakers.

I first was able to cut an oval hole with a speaker template. I reach through the hole to put a block of wood in the back to mount a coat hook. I then slide the speaker through the hole to mount on the back of the wallboard with speaker covers on the frontside.

After with 6x9s speakers were installed.

The sound is clearer than the OEM speakers. Looks good and sounds great with coat hooks as a bonus.

2014 FR3 Console + cup holders

What an inspiration this forum has been. Many super helpful tips and ideas! Thanks! Here's my contribution, a center console with 2 cup holders and small stash area underneath. I also cut in and added what was a Jeep grab handle filler into the top. It holds 2 phones upright very nicely. Added some black piping to add some contrast.

My 2014 FR3-25DS "pantry" space was filled with a pair of Ikea shelving units. I placed some 1/2" wood across the bottom of the space to distribute the weight of the shelving units and the contents. I also placed a metal Rubbermaid shelf across the top of the shelving units with the lip pointing up to hold items during movement, and tied everything together with cable ties. Installation required the removal of the center board that is between the doors to permit insertion of the shelving frames. Anchor screws were placed across the base of the shelving frames into the 1/2" wood base. Bungee cords help keep the drawers from opening during travel. The "2015 temporary installation" can be removed for something more permanent in a matter of minutes.

Nice mods you fellow FR3 travelers

My fiancee and I have added a few mods of our own to add to that lodge feel in our 2016 coach.

Love the mods! What adapter did you need to get in order to connect the residential faucet to the RV’s PEX pipes?

I added a 2nd AC to my bedroom last year and forgot to post the video. I installed a 13,500 Dometic High Efficiency unit in hope that one day change out my old original unit to a HE model and run both on my 30 Amp service instead of making the change to 50 Amp service. After install I was actually able to run both units at the same time on my 30 Amp service at my house and also on my 4K generator. Here is the link to the install video.

Post Window awnings

We prefer having our windows open for fresh air, rather than using the A/C. However, that means having the blinds open, and that often means the sun is blasting in through those big windows and heating up the inside of our coach.

One of our favorite mods has been installing awnings over the three largest windows. It has made a huge difference in maintaining a comfortable temperature inside the coach.

We used Dometic Elite (one Regular and two Tall) awnings. Installation went smoothly after watching this video from the RV Geeks.

Larger Cockpit Table

Not for everyone, but for us it works.
I was able to get a second dining room table from FR when my original table would not fit as a bed in the dining area. FR generously left me the matching table for free.
I repurposed the table to enlarge our cockpit table. wife likes to sit in the Captain's chair when camping for the scenic view out the large windows while she puzzles or does her crafts.
Table can easily be removed and the smaller circular table returned when driving or we can keep the larger table in place. I still have full access to the controls and radio. I already moved the camera to another monitor in another mod. I used felt pads underneath to protect the dash, and rubber weather stripping on the inside curve.

We removed our bed too and are in search of how to do cabinets. We’d like to mount a tv up there also, just not sure about the power available. Did you just get the doors from FR, or the whole cabinet?
