FR3 Sewer Hose Storage
I'm looking for suggestions/alternatives to storing the sewer hose in the FR3 30DS, rather than just storing it in a compartment. No offense to anyone, but would like to hear specifically from FR3 owners, and what they've done, so I can try and do the same. Thanks.

My biggest complaint about the FR3 is lack of storage for the sewer hose. They probably felt that the 4" square rear bumper would take away the esthetics. It would have been a good storage spot for the hose. Most other MH and TT's have this bumper.
That being said, Camping World has a plastic EZ hose carrier (part# 60174) that can be attached to the underside of a MH. I was considering this but haven't really looked into it much. Not sure where to install it for easy access.
Any other FR3 owners looked into this?

I looked into them also, but I've read reviews that the rhino hoses don't quite fit into them. I read about using PVC fence post, but still wondering where I would be able to mount it. thanks for the comments.

OK, I will break from the request of only FR3 owner to responsd just to suggest the method I used before going to under chassis vinyl fence post storage that I currently have.
What I did is a bought a 16 gallon Rubbermaid (like) storage bin and coiled my hoses and sewer accessories into that. It fit perfectly in my outside cargo storage. It kept all the grey matter in one container. I learned to toss a pouch of damp-rid in it to help control the moisture in the bin.

Bobby, I do thank you for the response. That is a good idea that I didn't think of. I guess I should learn from this to not limit my "audience", eh?
thanks again. Jim

I use a plastic storage box as well, but I add a plastic carry bag for a mans suit and put the hose in the bag and then in the box. It is sturdy, zips up and the perfect size for the hose. (this is my sanitation safety bag) I also buy latex gloves and keep them in the box along with a cheap extra hose, a hose joiner and two adapters from the hose to the drain (one hard plastic and the other a rubber like fitting). Sometimes the hard plastic does not work. The connector on the hose is clear plastic so I can monitor what is draining. My labels on the trailer were reversed during manufacturing.

Our 315wp came with a 4"pvc hose storage tube under ths trailer.Unfortuneatly they either made it too short or put it in the wrong spot. The opening is way under the trailer so you must crawl in the dirt (or what ever) to get at the end plug. Its too small to stuff the 45 and 90 degree ends on the hose.My solution to this is to get a 4" to 6" transition piece, cut the existing carrier off a couple inches back from the end fitting, glue the previosly mentioned transition piece on,then glue a piece of 6" pvc into that so it will only be a couple inches in from the side.A simple pipe plug or a 6" test plug fitting will go on that. Noe there is room for the elbow and I dont have to crawl under the trailer to get it! The hangers on the factory tube look pretty flimsy,so I will make a new one that will attach to the trailer skirting and wrap around the extension I have added.

At first i had a hose holder i bought from camping world but certain hose connections won't fit in it so i put it in the bumper but first i drilled a small hole completely through the bumper and rubber cap so i could put a wire about 6guage tent pin hold down pin to keep the cap doesn't come out going down the highway its easy and cheap to do.

I have the sewer solution and it is great but not ideal for regular campground connection. In other words keep your 4" hoses too. It did make for a great way to drain your tanks when you don't have a standard RV sewer connection. I can empty my tanks at home through a clean -out on the side of my house.
Sewer solution also has a small footprint for storage compared to the standard stinky slinky.

I have 2014 FR3 30D and I use a plastic box which has a double lid that over laps when you close it. I can't remember which hoses I using, but they have caps to install on the ends of the hose so no fluids can leak. I carry 2-10 foot sections of hose. I keep everything in this box that pertains to the septic. I also keep my garden hose I only use to rinse my hoses out with.

OK, I don't have an FR3, but a universal solution - A standard "stinky-slinky" along with elbow(s) and other fittings fit nicely coiled in a 5 gallon bucket. You can get good plastic ones and lids at you local big hardware store...

I copied an idea I found online. Used a 4x4 pvc fence post about 7ft long. Inside this a 3 1/2 pvc rain gutter slides full length in like a drawer. 4x4 end caps are used as the tube end and one end of the gutter. The inside end of the gutter uses a gutter end cap. I store 2 full lengths of hose with adapters. The tube is bolted cross wise under the trailer frame. Works great, easy to clean.

Before the snow pounder us I added a few white PVC fence posts on steel hangers inside and above the LP tank. these run across the coach and butt up against the back of the second step. I drilled one inch holes in the square posts for air flow and added a tin flashing to the bottom pop riveted the flashing in place as a heat shield. Isis this to take advantage of the open space above the LP tank. Same space ample space exists above the generator bay.
Did it cuz I wanted the hoses not to be in contact with the storage bins. I carry three male to female 10 footers and one 20 footer. It's crazy to carry so much sewer pipe but I use it often when we safari camp or park face to face when camping with friends.
This keeps it out of the way and ensures not cross contamination with water hoses.
Also added post to store my seven foot collapsable ladder in the same area. I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them.
