FR3 Shower Caulk

I tried to post to old thread unsuccessfully/ Should there not be caulk between shower walls and bottom pan ?

Bear

As an aside I installed an instantaneous water heater / maybe the best Mod I have made

I've read posts that say it's intentionally left unsealed to allow for expansion in warmer climates.

At the Forest river rally last summer I asked a tech who told me there is an extension from the pan that goes up a bit behind the side panel so the side wall overlaps.

He also said it shouldn't cause an issue to seal it. I had already caulked mine. I guess it's a personal choice.

The shower enclosure seam on my 2107 FR3 is not caulked either. In fact, the enclosure wall came unglued from the shower wall and is bowed out. I've scheduled a warranty service.
