Gearbox stripped. Ditto for crappy design. You can fix it yourself (with a buddy or two, to move the slide) if you're reasonably handy, but this is a $800-1000 job at a dealer.
Contact FR and raise a stink - these things should NOT fail after a year or two of service.

Ours LR slide stopped working while at the dealer to repair another issue while under warranty. Was told stripped gears. Also told they are usually pretty good by the dealer.
