I received an e-mail from Mike Hums with Forest River. He is 1 of the mfg. rep. that handle the FR3. At this point there is no switch over to electric switch on the water heater. He did say that they will be adding this feature in a few weeks. I realize it doesn't help those FR3's on the road now, but, at least they're listening.

Not really sure why you need the electric option? RV's hardly use any propane anyway and the electric in the Monaco really didn't get "Propane hot" anyway. I do a lot of dry camping so it's a non issue but it's odd for me to need to fill the propane tank more than 2 times per year. I'm fine with gas only for the water heater.........although the heated tanks were kind of a useless feature for me being in Southern California.

It was the suggestion of the RV dealer because I wanted electric hot water and installed by them . If a problem arises they will need to take care of the issue. Thanks for the info.
