The 30 has the sleeper sofa, the 28, 29 and 32 have the jack knife sofa. Would there even be enough room to open a sofa sleeper in those floor plans and still be able to walk around them as in the 30?

If I have a queen sleeper sofa and it is too long I can modify the length of the frame and the mattress down to about 75" long . I do not like the jack knife couch . It is cheaply made.

Sofa dimensions ?

Colourful 64,

Would you please give me these dimensions.....

Side to side dimensions of couch... I think I have 71" to 72" long space for a sofa bed to fit.

Distance from wall of RV to edge of bed when sofa is folded up......

Distance from wall of RV to end of mattress when bed is opened up.....

Size of mattress ? I presume it is a queen size mattress ( 60 "x 80")

Thanks

If your handy there are some nice DIY designs for a sofa. I'm planning on doing that "someday". It can be made with extra storage also.

I don't know if you ever got your answer, but here are the dimensions you want from my 2015 30DS. 1) The sofa is 68" side to side. 2) From the wall to the edge of the closed sofa is 38". 3) From the wall to edge of bed opened is 88". 4) The mattress measures 53" x 72".

A couple of pix also, particularly the end of the frame in case you were considering altering its length.

I have a sleeper sofa/recliner that I'm about to take out of my Georgetown that I may consider selling. It appears to be about the same as what leisurelarry has in his pics. Not quite 2yrs old and in perfect condition.

sofa seat--does it open jackknife style

I have a 2013 3100 DS Forest River Sunseeker . It has a sofa behind the driver seat. I think this is supposed to open into a bed, jackknife style, but I can not see how that is done--does anyone have any ideas ?

Kentucky Bob,

I'm not sue if you've found a replacement for your jack knife sofa, but I'm getting ready to replace my 2016 FR3 30DS Sofa Sleeper w/kickout footrests and list it on the FR Classified Ad Forum. The sofa is in excellent condition and the bed has only been used twice, and there's also an extra foam pad that we purchased to give additional support.
Dimensions are: W - 68", D - 38:, H - 30", Bed - 53"x72", L w/bed out - ~90"

Here's a couple of pictures.
