Fresh water fill access

So my question on '15 25ds is why isn't there a access hole that would allow a water hose straight up and in to the city inlet or fresh tank fill. I was afraid to use the large hole thinking critters had access to the inside of my coach. Any suggestions? I'm willing to drill a hole in the bottom of the compartment to accomplish this.

After my first trip I connected city water and got a drip and a puddle. Then I drilled a small f
Drain hole and eventually installed these smaller hinged cap covers that allow the cap to shut. One in the water bay and one in the power bay so the cord does not have to go from right to left in the Bin. The caps snap down and have little slides on them for pass thru that keep the critters out.

The guys who design this third
GS should be forced to take them out and use them to find these things !
