Front axle

The garage that i called to get a front end alignment asked if my front axle is a straight axle or a twin I beam?

If its on a Ford chassies, class c, E 350 or E 450, it's a twin I beam. If its a Ford class a gasser chassies, I believe it a stright axle.
Grumpy
Just looked at your profile. If thats a pic of yours, its going to be a stright axle.

Those are the spec's for the E 350 / E 450 class c cut-a-way with the twin I beam. OP's looks to be a FR3 class a. It's got a stright axle.

I realize that. And, if you read the specs you posted, about the F53/F59 , you will see the front axle listed as a Solid I Beam. That means a single one piece axle, NOT a Twin I Beam as found on the E350/E450.
Don't want to get into a pissing match here, but the FR3 is built on the F53 chassis, and has a one piece axle, NOT a twin I Beam.

So sorry grumpy, never meant to insinuate the FR3 was on anything but an F53 Chassis . The picture of the page I posted just happen to have those various chassis on the same page. I should have cropped the top of the page (F350/F450) out of the picture, my mistake. I concur, the FR3 on the F53 chassis has a "solid I beam" axle or 1 piece axle. I would never want to get into any kind of a match with all the great people here on the forum. This has been a terrific source of information for me in the two years I've had my coach. I always enjoy sharing any little tidbit of information that might help a fellow FR3 owner.

Ah, it's all in my name. Crummy week...snow, then sleet, then freezing rain, then 2 inches or rain, all on the same day. Sittin inside, all warm and cozy, looking outside at the Lexi. Cold n windy and can't get out to work on her.
I apologize for being so...grumpy!!!.

Yeah, I'll take LeisureLarry's spot any day! Grumpy, I stand corrected, you have every right to be however you want! Although, I'm not in as deep as you, our snow is about all melted off, and we are looking at a high of 60 on Sat!

THAT snow was 2 weeks ago, 20 inches, and is gone. Had another snow come in on Monday, with snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain. 8 inches of snow. Gone now, 56-58 this weekend, and another snow system coming in on Tuesday.
Have trips planned for April, May and June, biggie month long in Sept to So Dakota and Wy.
Cannot come soon enough!!!

May a flock of 100 lb seagulls fly over your rv after eating bowls of spicy chili !!!
Just kidding, but we're looking forward to spring, hoping it will come early, like maybe next week.

Grumpy

Hey Grumpy I know exactly how you feel. I lived in NE PA and NW OH until age 55 when I retired and moved to the Carolinas to get away from that stuff. I was a lot worse than just Grumpy in northern winters. Now if I want to see snow I turn on the Weather Channel. After 13 years the chill here is enough to send me to FL for 1 - 2 months in the winter. Travel has changed too. Now during the time schools are on summer vacation we stay home and fish the Atlantic until school starts and campgrounds are less crowded except in FL when all are full. 'Y'all gotta c'mon down' ~~ like move!

Don't we have some of the best people on earth on this forum.
Congrats to us for our give and take attitudes and being BIG ENOUGH to apologize to each other when we bite at one another.
Travel safe
