what Brand shade is it?
some have a programmable LIMIT, by a pushbutton on one end of the shade roller, usually hanging by a few wires, that let you reset it.

Ours does not have this button, and got stuck down once, so I rolled it up manually and rested it on the dash fans until we could get it replaced, under warranty.

Not certain about the manufacturer, but I do see the button in the drivers side and I’ve pushed it. The shade goes down but not up. The coach is in the park position batteries are charged.

there's a process to resetting the shade limit, but you'll have to review your owner's paperwork on the Shade, or go to their website.

I want to thank everyone who gave me good advice. I called the manufacturer and they helped me solve the problem over the phone. No motor problem thankfully. Simple reboot was all it needed. Thanks again. See you on the road!

Angio.....

It might help someone else if you provided the brand of your shade....is it marked somewhere?.......and how the reboot was done.

You eventually got on your way.....it might help another.

Don't you hate when someone gets help and won't even post what the ultimate fix was?
And they asked for it that day,...
hmmmm,...lame

Thanks to Bubbles for the instructions.
It is hard to find some of these instructions, It's like the mfgrs don't want us to fix / alter our own rigs.

Uh-Huh,..that's not happening,.....mods and more mods I say,.....
Forget the dealers,....I fix my own stuff thank you very much.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Since this is the giving season I will share the information that I got from the manufacturer. The button on the driver side is the motor set and reset button for the window shade. There is a sequence of turning the coach on and off and pressing the button to control where the shade stops when going up and going down.
LAME? I thought that this forum was a non threatening and safe place. We’re adults or at least I thought so. In your rv packet is the manufacturer and 800 number. I had no idea how many people struggled with this. Travelboysteve, keep my name out of your mouth. If you need specifics open your manual.

Yeah, I do think it's lame when people request and receive immediate help and then vanish without posting the solution / fix.
That is just my opinion.
I also know I'm not alone in that opinion.

You show up 2 months later and chastise me?
Check yourself.
If you felt personally offended, I apologize.

Bubbles has posted the instructions already, thanks

I found it difficult to push the button and do all the rest of the stuff they want you to do to set the limits on the shade. Got some thin wire and moved the switch next to the shade switch. Take the covers off the A-Frame pillar, as there is a channel that the wires run up and down. Oh while I was there, I filled the channel with insulation. Really reduced the wind noise from the front while traveling and helped keep out some cold and hot air.

Good idea to put insulation behind the A pillar trim!

I had a shade failure the very first time I used the front shade on my 2019 30DS. I was driving the coach home from the dealer and stopped that night at a Rest Area. Put the shade down, no problem.

Next morning, the shade went up about 12 inches, then dropped! All the way to the dash. I tried several times, almost getting it 2/3 up, but it would crash to the dash every time.

Finally rolled the shade all the way up by hand and prayed that it didn't fall down while underway! Thankfully it stayed up.
