Most times if you select ''pay inside'' at the pump, you can get a full tank. Then pay with your credit card.

In California it's 100.00 limit.

I was in Herkimer, NY recently struggling in vane to find a gas station that wasn't going to turn into a navigating nightmare. Found one only to be told by the pump to go inside for authorization. I choose to continue my search and left. Luckily found another candidate just around the corner.

Credit card companies and merchants set limits on pump purchases. I stopped using several local stations because they have not raised limits to reflect the higher costs of gas. If a Good Sam member, get a Pilot Flying J card. Requires a PIN number , not a zip code. Have never had a pump turn off before full so don't know if there is a limit. Discount on fuel (for Good Sam lifetime member it's 6 cents per gallon of gas). Flying J has dedicated RV fueling lanes (gas and diesel). Newer Pilots are adding RV lanes. Flying J also has dump station ($5) and propane refueling station.

Wawa in NJ has a limit of $125 per swipe and max of 3 swipes. Wasn't a problem. And it's funny how with my truck or camper they pump it, but with a motorcycle/scooter you have to pump your own.

We live in one town and work in another 60 miles away. We get mail at home and also have a post office box near work. Some cards/bills go through our home address with one zip code, and some go through the post office box with a different zip code. Between all the pins and passwords I already have to remember, remembering which zip code goes with which card while the cold wind is cutting through my clothes just doesn't work for me, as a rule.

I think this issue is nationwide. I've run into $75 and $100 limits in the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast.
