Has anyone noticed on your FR3

Just back from a 2600 mile trip with the FR3 30DS and wondering if anyone else noticed these things:

1. Low beam headlights don't shine very far
2. Dashboard bounces so bad cd skips in player
3. Front speakers need to be lower
4. no light in electrical storage area
5. no cup holder for wife
6. How fast do you drive on the interstate?

1. Yes. Planning on a fix for this since I do a fair bit of night driving.
2. Whats a CD?
3. Yes. As indicated by #2 reply, I am not that old, but they are hard to hear.
4. Yes. I plan on fixing this with another pod light similar to whats on the passenger side.
5. Havent noticed, but wife tends to ride with munchkin in the back
6. 68mph, towing or not. I tried 62, 65 and 68 going to FL in January, the difference in mileage between 62 and 68, at least for me, was negligible.

Anyone have a fix for dashboard bounce? I'm thinking of putting a wedge under it. It is too cantilevered right now.

I used a 9x5 piece of plywood under the dash. Click image for larger version

Where did you put the wedge? Just on my first trip about 300 miles to Elk Neck state park in MD, a great place. I notice a little squeak in the dash, and the front sound system leads a lot to be desired.
I did find that the big TV plays through the stereo so you get better sound, still not the best. I will add better speakers for sure.
Odd that the only storage bay without lights is the one you need to use to hook up your power, light will be added there.

The trifold shower bar is fantastic. It folds into the shower when not in use giving more space and then folds out into the room when you shower making the shower seem much larger. On sale at CW too!

You can see the I painted piece of wood wedged between the engine cover and the dash. I will pretty it up soon.

First night driving into Philadelphia and you are right about the low beams, need much more light.
Also no instrument lights to see the heater controls
And the upper bunk fuse just blew for the fourth time!
A new rattle above passenger seat will need some work to figure it out, not sure what is causing it.

I had a hybrid travel trailer before my FR3. It was a Forest River 23SS and the slide out would blow fuses. The dealership put in a self resetting circuit breaker. It was the best thing, as I never had to replace the fuse again! I've heard that the fuse for the bunk is problematic, so I'm thinking of replacing the fuse with the self resetting breaker as a pre-emptive measure. I think it's something that would help.

Gotta love motorhomes and rattles. I never did solve ALL of the ones in our previous 2 motorhomes. Some I just had to turn up the radio to try and block them out. It's just part of owning a gas chassis MH. OR, add a complete air ride suspension front and back, which they do offer for the ford chassis, and you might help it out a little. That might solve the bouncing dash a little too. I think Kelderman makes the suspensions for the F53, but I could be wrong. Can't remember the brand for sure. Local guy around us has done a few on Ford chassis motorhomes. World of difference.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

Our dash bounces a lot too! Make lots of noise driving on the bad freeways in So Cal. I didn't notice it so much at first, but now I do! So loud, I can't hear DH when going down the road with the radio and that bouncing. It really drives me crazy when trying to have a conversation over both...
