Driving at night
Agree on the 400 mile/4 PM rule, and that is about what we do also. We have already run over a road gator at night and damaged the trailer lower fascia. The headlights on TV are adequate for traveling with just the vehicle, but when you are pulling the stopping distance required from the time you see an issue is increased exponentially by the weight and length of the rig. In other words, you need more light than is probably legal to see properly. We really don't travel in the dark unless absolutely necessary.
