How do you remove the air filter from the Atwood Air Command Conditioner?

Atwood Air Command RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump

Hello Finch.
I have to assume you have the same AC as I do since no model number was posted. We both seem to have the same rig.

Just pull down from the forward hand slot and slide the filter forward. The filter is a cloth type filter so you can tap it or if need be gently wash with warm water and let completely dry then replace it back into the unit. This filter should last a long time. If it gets ripped it can be purchased. Expensive for what it is but replaceable. (About 40 plus bucks) hope this helps.

Thanks David. Mine is different from the one you have. Finally just removed all 6 of the screws holding the cover on, and there was the filter. Not convenient, but it works.

Glad you got it done. What type of AC unit do you have? Just curious.

David: Atwood Air Command. Now that I have the cover off, I see that I could have removed the filter by pulling down on it, if only I could have gotten ahold of it. But it would not budge. Worked ok to take off the cover, allowed me to clean it too. But your way is the way it is supposed to work and would be quick and easy. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!
