Hydro lift line hose bubble leak

Hey folks. So today I crawled under the drivers side rear to check to see if my rear sway bar brackets were intact. They were.

But what I discovered was a slimy leveler leg hose on the lift leg drivers side rear. After cleaning it off I found a bubble and slow leak fluid.

Happy to find it while at home, but not happy to have to replace this line so soon. The moral of the story is check your under carriage often for leaks!

This has been an off and on topic, some owners have replaced the orange plastic with stronger stuff.

Check with a local farm supply or perhaps a NAPA store that makes hydraulic hoses.

After reading the other RV site forums I discovered these orange Lippert hoses apparently have a short life. This one was apparently the "cross over return ". And ran 6 ft between the two rear jacks. Took the line off and brought to a local shop who had the crimp tool. They matched the end connectors and made me a new hose in 10 minutes. 5000 psi not 3000. Heavier outside wall and same inside diameter. Cept for being a messy job it was any easy fix. But this fall ill swap them ALL out for the HD hose !

My hose on my 2014 30ds was dated 2011. Click image for larger version

Great!

Glad there was a shop to take care of you, best of luck with the rest of them.
