Had to replace the lock in our 2015 fr3 30 ds... here’s what we replaced it with .. we had to order twice the first one was too small for the opening ... might save you some stress, having the details. Amazon Rocks

Did you have to enlarge the existing holes in the door?

God no... that hole is huge. Most of the locks out there are too small . Finally had to call AP and explain that the other locks were too small so he said this is the one we need and it just barely fit. With chalking to make it snug

What happens if the battery dies? Use the key only?

Door lock

I have a similar system and the batteries last about 6 months (3 months if you use the Harbor Freight cheapies/free batteries). The keys will always unlock the door from the outside and then it's a simple (2 minute) battery change. I keep spare batteries and a dedicated screwdriver inside the rig so when the batteries poop out (which they do) I can fix it in a jiffy.

Use Lithium batteries, they will last 2 to 3 times as long.
