Interior Switch Lights

Just returned from our first trip in our 28DS. I've never driven it at night until this past week and have a crazy question. The interior switches for the fog lamps, shade, LED awning lights, etc. are not illuminated when the headlights are on. The only one that is lit is the radio. Is this normal? Fortunately, the fog light switch is the one closest to the driver so I can feel for it. However, it is still difficult to locate in the dead of night.

Yup. That's normal. On my FR3 30DS I use a USB goose neck light in the radio to illuminate that area. It has a little switch on it. If left on it reflects in the windshield. Dumb design.

Yes my 2015 28DS is the same way. Does your DVD player play movies on the main TV and the outside TV?

Interior Switch Lights

My 2014 30 DS has a cheap dash stereo. It has a Bluetooth mic for hearing phone calls thru the speakers but I never use it. It has an aux in 1.5 mm plug to feed other muisc in and a USB port.

I can play DVDs to outside and to the kitchen tv but only from the stereo mounted above the closet. The factory ran RCA jacks to the outside tv and I added an HDMI line from the inside sat box so I could simulcast the ball game from the sat box to the outside. I like the combo unit because you can direct the sound via A. B. C. Switched to where u want it. It's almost necessary to run the tv sound thru the combo unit to hear it over the air conditioner!

I recall reading that in 2015 models they removed the wall mount stereo /DVD model combo and put a DVD player in the dash radio instead.

Can I ask what the second back up camera
is for? I moved mine up there to but then I replaced the dash hole with a gps, stereo, DVDs, sat radio.

The second monitor on the dash is actually connected to the factory multiplexer for left right and rear cameras. I hated looking down while driving.

The original in dash monitor is used for added cameras. I tow a trolley swivel wheel trailer and mounted an under carriage rear facing camera to see and monitor the trailer tires. That rear facing view also helps when going up an inclined drive to see if my tail will scrape. Without the trailer the rear facing undercarriage cam has saved me from backing into obstacles too. Because It was cheaper to buy the camera kit and I had extra cameras. The other two camera feeds point to added cameras that look at the hydraulic landing gear. One faces forward seeing the front 2 pads and the other faces rear to see the back 2 pads. I can watch the pads going down and coming up while parking. Overkill but when the lading gear panel says "retracted" I know they are up cuz I can see them.

I moved mine up for the same reason. Very cool that you get to check all of the other items.
