Dash light dimmer switch wheel.

Hey svwc, I have a 2015 FR3 30DS. When I turn my thumb wheel, it does 2 things. 1) dims and brightens the dash lights, 2) at the max position when it clicks, the 2 LED reading lights illuminate one above each captains chair.

That would be nice to have led's above the captains chairs. No luck on the 2014 25DS.

I agree sev
My 25DS, no lights
Lights above chairs would be nice
Have you looked for any pre-wiring that could be used ?

Again, these FR3 are not top of the line, BUT, these lights on the 30 & not 25, really FR ??

Thanks for the pictures, I'll be taking the speakers down to see if there is any wires up there for lights

They also come on when you turn off your engine. They stay on for about 30 seconds giving you ample time to exit the cockpit area. Very helpful when stoping at night.

Interesting I did not imagine them located in that area. SVWC I am thinking we might be able to wire these off of the center roof light but we would not have the same controls.
I removed that speaker a while back but do not recall any other wires behind there.

you were right SEV, I found no wires for the lights behind the speakers, bummer
it does look like wires could easily be run up there, but we are getting ready to head south for the winter, and the wife says no more mods

No overhead cockpit lights on my 30 DS. But I love the idea of the delay exit timer. I know if I roll the wheel dimmer to click that a relay closes somewhere under the dash. Now if I can only find it I can run wires and aftermarket lights. I wonder if the exit delay feature is built in even thorough there are no lights?
