Is this normal?

My 2010 Winnebago was cut and dry
2010 on title , reg and insurance card.
Now my 2016 FR3 is different and I'm assuming because of the chassis.
Title 2016 (which matters the most), Temp reg 2015 stripped chassis and insurance has it listed as a 2015 which could be an issue.

Any comments ? Thanks

I would think that it should go by title. If you get an early production year model, it may have a year earlier chassis under it. Most of the time no big deal if there weren't any major changes to the chassis. Had a Jayco class c with a 2010 chassis on a 2011 model. I would just try to clarify with insurance co. and dmv by showing them both the man. title.

My winnebago on an F53 chassis had a different year on the frame from the coach however the unit was titled as the year the coach was built. Your insurance should go with the year as listed in the vin look at the letter in the 10th position if its a G then its 2016 and they should honor that.

Post #10 in the thread below from Bclemens (Forest River rep) should help explain this common question:

Suppose to pick up new Sunseeker tomorrow- Have Vin# issue

Thanks all for your input. Makes sense but confirmation is always key
