Just put my deposit down on a 2017.5 30DS

The DW and I went shopping today for a FR Class C product of some sort. I really thought we were headed for a Forester 3011 DS. We were given the opportunity to go through the FR3 30DS, and were both sold. I've been hanging out on the Forester thread, but I guess this is home now.

I will be leaning on y'all for your expertise and experiences related to the FR3.

Can't wait to take delivery in a couple of weeks and start trying everything out.

Jim

Welcome aboard the FR3 ship Jim! We moved up from a class C to the FR3 30DS and it's amazing how much more living space there is in what is basically the same foot print. I've had good luck with mine, wish you the same.

Jim, Congratulations on your new Class A purchase. We bought a 2016 FR3 30DS in September 2015 and it now has 26,500 miles and been to all 48 contiguous States in the USA. In that time period it has been lived in over 360 days. On this forum you should be able to get a lot of good tips on solving issues that arise and general maintenance. Travel safe and enjoy.

Congratulations Jim. We also bought a 2016 FR3 30 DS, and enjoy it tremendously. I hope you like it as much as we do. The Forum is a valuable resource, and helped us greatly.

Congrats and Welcome

Welcome to the FR3 club! We bought ours in 2015 and are very happy with its size and live-a-bility! Very few issues. We were not able to travel last year but plan to make up for it this year. Have a great time!

Congratulations!

We've had our 2015 30' or two whole summers now and have been across both the US and Canada and love ours. Don't forget to name it!

Congrats! Now the waiting begin, but it's cold season now so it's shouldn't be too bad, just knowing you have a rv coming it's still rough, good luck.

as you know there are sooooo many things to improve upon based on this thread. Don't forget the Cheap Handling Fix. You can do it yourself too.
