LEV2 box

I have a 2015 FR3 30DS with an unidentifed
box labeled LEV2 on the underside of the coach. There is a ribbed black tube coming out of it that looks like it has been chewed. The tube is about 12 inches long. It has an end cap on it and there are no wires inside. Is it important and what does it do? I will attempt to attach a picture. Thanks for any info and advice.

I have a "15" 30 DS model also and don't believe I have ever seen that on the underside. Would love to know what it is just in case.

So that is directly behind the generator. Looks important, I'll have to take another look !

I would say this looks like the emission control evaporation canister between the engine and fuel tank. That is what is behind my generator on the left frame rail.

How critical is that ribbed tube that is chewed?
Thanks for your response.

Just relooked at mine and it has no ribbed cover. There are 2 tubes that connect to the emission system, 1 additional short tube is a vent and 1 electrical sensor connector. This would be a Ford item versus Forest River item if my guess is correct. This may help in your search.

The ribbed section on yours might just be a cover over an internal tube. As long as the tube is complete then no issue. If not, and it is what I believe, then you will eventually get a "Check Engine" light on the dash for emission control system problem.

LEV2 is part of the Ford Emission system. I'd check and make sure none of the wires are bare and then wrap it up with electrical tape to keep water out.
