Living without an inverter?

Anybody wish they had one or is it really not needed unless you boondock a lot?

You do not need one unless you boondock or have a residential fridge you want to keep running while you travel. Even for boondocking you don't need one, you just can't use some of the appliances.

Inverters are not essential but, nice to have. Our grand kids travel with us sometimes and to keep them entertained while traveling, we play movies on the DVR and don't really want to run the generator.
You want to determine what size inverter you would want. We installed a 1000W and it's plenty. No, we can't run the AC or microwave off the inverter. But, low wattage toaster, coffee maker...no problem. Just be aware of how many watts each appliance uses.
You might also consider installing a automatic transfer switch. Pretty sure the FR3 still doesn't come with one from the factory. I did and now I don't have to plug the shore power plug in to the coach. It's all hardwired together.
