So jealous! Would love to be there about now. Hasn't even been a bad winter by Minnesota standards but I am looking forward to spring. Thanks for sharing the photos. My wife has a niece in Laguna Beach and that looks like a beautiful campground to stay at.

So Cal winter camping

I wasn't aware that you could wash your RV at seizure world.Last time I was there they said no washing of RVs. Maybe because I was a visitor.

The RV wash is about 5 years old, but your right, visitors are not allowed to use any of the free wash bays.😤

State parks I reserve 6 months in advance on the 1st of the month at 8am on reserveamerica.com only because I will only camp in a particular site each place I go. You can usually but not always find something maybe in the same month but not a prime site.

We will be in the driveway of a friend's little cabin. There's a large group going, so our FR3 becomes another kitchen/sleeping area. Electric/water, no sewer 👍🏻

We will be enjoying Bolsa June 18-25 this year.

Hi Leisurelarry, Used to live over by you in Lakewood....Used to go to Bolsa Chica frequently but haven't been there in a few years now....We were getting getting tired of the parking lot style camping and the higher prices about $70.00 per night...I know it's tough getting a site there in the Summer if you don't try to book 6 months in advance....Do they still allow you to have fires on the beach ?

That still sounds very nice! Pretty up there with or without the snow. One of these days we'll cross paths! Will be in Morro Bay at Morro Strand state beach FHU when you are at Bolsa Chica. I'm heading over to Bolsa tomorrow for 4 days.

Yes EJS, Bon fires are still allowed and very popular. All new concrete rings. Most stake them out in the morning for use that night during the summer months, not really a problem now.

There are dozens of other fantastic RV Parks in SoCal that are great even in winter: East Shore RV in Pomona; Vail Lake near Temecula; Canyon RV off the 91 near Corona; Santee Lakes near San Diego; and Jurupa Regional RV Park near Riverside which has the best, longest RV sites we've ever seen, and the sites are spaced very far apart with lots of lush grassy fields in between.

Doheny State Beach

We just ended a week stayin on the sand at Doheny beach. Great weather and beautiful location. Only had a day of rain but that was actually a treat. Had fire going and sat inside on recliners watch the flames and rain.
This is a good time. This week back at work.... 1082 work days left till retirement. But who's counting...

About 40 years ago I worked for a Co. that was owned by Sears,,, we installed a ton of carpet @ Leisure World,,, we had a different name for it back then,,, which I will not use now,,, because I have become one myself !!! LOL !!!
If I remember right there was a Leisure World in Laguna Hills & one in Los Alamitos?
We worked out of Garden Grove,,, which was a nice City then !!!
Take Care !!!

Hey wolverine, well Seal Beach Leisure World has been around now since 1962. We affectionately refer to it as seizure world. There was a Leisure World in Laguna Hills but they dropped their affiliation with the Cortese family (the original builder) and have renamed themselves Laguna Woods. Garden Grove is affectionately referred to now as garbage grove. When you installed carpet here you only had to be 52 to live here, but it has long been 55 now. We have over 6,000 units and around 8,500 resident shareholders.
Happy Trails!
