material for tires to rest on during winter storage

Progolfer here: Could someone please give me some suggestions on what type of material or what to rest the tires on when storing the FR3 during the winter. I will have it in my cement driveway. All replies are appreciated. Great RVing to everyone.

Flatstoppers

Although I've never used this product, it looks like an interesting option.

Treated 2x12 for me, but I put some .125 aluminum screwed to the bottom of the boards because I kept on splitting them on my crappy gravel driveway

Depends on how long you will be storing the unit. My 5er never sits more than 1 month without me going some were so I leave mine on my blacktop. But my neighbor puts his up on tire jacks to prevent flat spotting the tires causing potential blow outs. But he dose not move his all winter and it sits for 5 to 6 months.

I understand that blocking the RV so the tires are off the ground is the best way to go. Should the tires be covered to prevent UV damage?

I use a couple layers of cardboard. But my storage is inside. Not sure cardboard would work outside. Chemicals in the concrete can do damage to tires that sit in the same place for long periods of time. Even above flat spots.

Why would you store your tires on treated wood containing arsenic, copper and who knows what else. Use plain pine boards.

Do radial tires do that? I remember my Dad's truck tires getting flat spots (they were bias ply and I assumed that was the reason) but I've never experienced a radial tire getting flat spots from sitting.

Cool

My Viper XLR has been sitting in the same spot for a year. It is a concrete pad, the only thing I fear is the tire pressure. Hard to find a reasonable size air compressor to keep the pressure correct. I thought the days of "flat spots" were gone with the arrival of radial tires.....am I missing something here??

One side is on pressure treated wood. Quite a bit of it, really.

The other side is in the grass.

Cuz the yard ain't near level... And I've been doing that for 8 years on one set of factory tires with no problems.
