Maxxfan Install Pricing?

When we had our 28DS back at the dealer for the punch list work, we asked to have a quote on the installation of two MaxxFans, with covers.
(not the deluxe models, with the built-in covers)

Their quote was for $1300 installed. That seems astronomically high. Have others here had these installed for similar prices?

I'm reasonably capable of installing these, but I didn't want to muck with the roof, since leaks there seem to be the source of much RV sadness.

Go on Amazon and buy the Han fans. You can install them yourself and it doesn't require messing with the roof. I put one in the bathroom and spliced it into the bathroom light. Took me a total of about 30 minutes, including cleanup time. Cheap, quick, and moves a ton of air!

Sorry, Heng fan, not Han Fan. It's about $67.00 and no need to pay for install.

Is your FR3 Prewired or are they running wires and if so from where? Still seems expensive even if they are running an entire circuit.

I would do the work myself. I installed two Fan-Tastic fans with covers wired them took about 1 hour each and no leaks works great. the cost per fan was around $105 each and the covers were $50.00 each.

Its a 2016, so I think it's pre-wired. (?)
I am willing to do the work myself, but was worried about keeping the roof watertight.
The maxxfans are like $180 on Amazon, which I'm fine with, its the install that seems insane.

Saving $1000 pretty much makes it worthwhile though.

I'll definitely check out the Heng fans, not messing with the roof might be preferable.

Thanks, all!

With the Heng fans all you have to do is remove the screen and wire the fan and install the 4 screws and you're done. Couldn't be easier.

If yours isn't prewired then just splice into the lights along the ceiling and you can turn the fans on and off with the push button on the fan mounting.

Before you buy your fans look on youtube on installing them. You will find a wealth of information on installing fans.

Our 2015 30ds is wired. I pulled down the frame and found the wires.
