I thought they weren’t suppose to come off the ground. Did you try resetting the jacks

I have seen steel jacks slide on concrete. With my recycled rubber SnapPads, I know I have a firm grip when I deploy my jacks. I only use the extra blocks if the front axle is 4-6" lower than the rear. I never block or lift the rear axle. (Parking brake is on the rear axle.)

I can not always find flat ground even in campgrounds.

If you live in or plan to camp in desert areas, make sure you go for the 2 AC's. The single AC can't cool it down properly.

TLAK, the new 2019 30DS we saw at the Goshen Rally had the window between the 2 closets. The really did a nice redo of the bedroom with the new slide, window and added washer/dryer connection in the closet for those who wanted it. Really opened the room up.

Thanks all. We wound up going with the slightly bigger and slightly more expensive GT5 31R5.

I think a special order FR3 is the best way to go. I special ordered mine and I have the factory final checklist for my FR3 28DS and it has my name on it. The salesman let me know when it was coming to the Dealership. When I showed to inspect and gave him a check from the bank. The salesman had to put this was on the window to keep people out:
PLEASE DO NOT
ENTER
IM SOLD
Attachment 189920

I know you will have fun with your FR3 made just for you.

Please post when you bring your baby home.

Sorry for asking a question not on subject of the OP, but how does one go about special ordering from the factory. There are so many thing we would really like to add/delete.

First I did an Internet search for dealers that sell the FR3 28DS. Then I called a few to get a quotes.

Once I knew the cost, I went to a local dealer ABC and looked at the FRs's in stock. They did not have a 28DS in stock. But the 30DS has the same bathroom as a 28DS, and the 32DS had the same kitchen | living room as the 28DS. So we had a good idea what we wanted. I asked about a price on 28DS as they did not carry it in stock, I would have to order one.

I talked to Total Value RV a 2nd time about ordering a FR3 28DS.

It came down to the local dealer ABC Motorhomes and Total Value RV. I calculated with the time-off from work & travel cost to Total Value RV made ABC Motorhomes a better deal.

I also was able to get ABC to have it delivered in April 2017 as a 2018. I also had them install the Fan-Tastic Fans and Blue Ox True Center steering stabilizer.

I hope that helped.

Thanks

Appreciate the assist. I guess it would not make sense for the factory to accept direct orders from everyone in the world. They would never have time to do anything else.

I will look to the local dealer who handles Forest River products.
