Newbie ? Re Dewinterizing

Hi,

Just purchased a new fr3 after owning a class c. I am about to de winterize and I was wondering how to bypass the hot water heater when purging the lines. It seems from my previous post that all my valves are openClick image for larger version

From this Pic. they are all turned for "Use"! If you want to" Purge Pink" turn all valves the other way! Then Purge! Youroo!!

Looks like they upgraded the twist knobs to real metal! Mine (2014 30 DS) are plastic ones.

Yeah and I'm sure I paid for those metal knobs. Lol

When I picked the rig up at the dealer, the anode rod was out and the dealer set my knobs to "use" from what I can recall. Wouldn't the anode rod have to be in if they by any chance filled the water heater w antifreeze?

Putting A/F in the water heater is not a great idea, six gallons more or less and it does no good.

Put anode rod back in with Teflon tape to seal it then turn on the nearest hot water faucet. Connect to water source and turn on. You will get air until tank fills. When water comes out tank is full and good to go. Then do same with cold water. A little air will come out.
