We just recently bought a 28DS. The length stated on the FR site says it's 29' 8". Is that with or without the rear slide extended out the back?

Without... All their posted dimensions are with any slides fully retracted.

I agree, from the front of the tongue to the rear of the trailer (with nothing extended) is the measured length.
